Vivian served as a reviewer to the US Congressional Office of Technology Assessment in its first report on commercial biotechnology in 1983, and her analyses of biotechnology industry and financing trends have been published in Bio/Technology, BioIndustry (Japan), In Vivo, Biotechnology News, Decision Resources' Spectrum and Drug & Market Development. Partners, over the last two decades and began her career as an analyst in the corporate venture capital arm of WR Grace & Co. She received her A.B. in Biochemistry from Harvard University, and has conducted research in tumor immunology at the Dana Farber Cancer Center and Yale University.
