Leonard M.
Harlan is president of Castle Harlan,
Inc. and a member of the Executive
Committee of CHAMP (Castle Harlan
Australian Mezzanine Partners), an
affiliate of Castle Harlan, Inc. Mr.
Harlan is currently a director of
Associated Packaging Technologies, Inc.,
Gravograph Industrie International, and
The Bulgarian American Enterprise Fund,
established by the U.S. Congress. Mr.
Harlan is a member of the Board of
Overseers of the Joan and Sanford I.
Weill Medical College and the Graduate
School of Medical Sciences of Cornell
University, Vice Chairman of the Medical
College $750 million Capital Campaign
and serves on the Policy Board of the
Cornell Physicians Organization. He is
also a member of the Dean’s Advisory
Council of Harvard Business School, a
director of the Harvard Business School
Club of Greater New York, formerly vice
president and member of the Executive
Committee of the Harvard Business School
Alumni Association; and for six years
was a member of the Harvard Business
School Visiting Committee. Mr. Harlan is
a Trustee of the New York City Citizens
Budget Commission and Chair of the New
York Region of BENS (Business Executives
for National Security). From 1969 to
1995, he was Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer of The Harlan Company,
Inc., a real estate investment banking
and advisory firm. Mr. Harlan began his
career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette,
where he was a vice president and
stockholder. A graduate of Cornell
University with a Bachelors degree in
mechanical engineering, Mr. Harlan has a
Masters (with Distinction) and a
Doctorate from the Harvard Business
School.
